Well Centered Counseling
A steady place to land
Virtual therapy specializing and working with first-and second-generation women of color and mothers navigating identity, expectations, and emotional overwhelm.

About Me
Welcome, my name is Aminah, and I'm so glad you're here.
I am a Texas Licensed Professional Counselor Associate serving the Dallas-Fort Worth area, providing virtual therapy for women seeking a space where they can feel grounded, understood, and supported.
You've always been the strong one. The responsible one. The one who figures it out. You move between cultures, expectations, and identities — often carrying more than anyone sees. You honor where you come from, even when it feels heavy. You strive, achieve, and hold it together while quietly navigating anxiety, self-doubt, or exhaustion beneath the surface.
Together, we explore the parts of you that feel overwhelmed, driven, self-critical, or unseen — with curiosity and compassion. Your ambition makes sense. Your anxiety makes sense. The pressure you feel makes sense.
This is a steady place to land. A place where all parts of you are welcome.
My Approach
My approach is trauma-informed, meaning we move at a pace that honors your experience and nervous system, while supporting you in finding balance, ease, and safety in your day-to-day life. This work is centered in warmth, collaboration, and reflection. Therapy is a space where you can slow down, speak honestly, and feel met with both compassion and clinical care.
Professional Background
I am a Texas Licensed Professional Counselor Associate under the supervision of Lisa Grubbs, Ph.D., LPC-Supervisor. I hold a Master of Science in Counseling and Development with a specialization in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Texas Woman's University. My academic background also includes studies in psychology and child development.
My clinical work has focused on supporting children and caregivers navigating the impact of overwhelming or difficult experiences, as well as concerns related to anxiety, cultural identity, stress, and major life transitions. This foundation continues to shape a trauma-informed approach that centers your lived experience and supports you in feeling more grounded, connected, and understood.
Services
Individual and Group Therapy for Women in Texas
Individual therapy sessions tailored to your experiences, your pace, and the areas of your life where you're seeking clarity, support, and meaningful change. This is a space where you can speak openly, feel understood, and begin making sense of what you've been carrying.
From time to time, I may also offer small therapy groups for women or mothers who are looking for a supportive space to process shared experiences. These groups are offered based on interest and need, and may focus on topics such as parenting support, emotional processing, or navigating stress and identity. If you'd like to know more about future group offerings, you're welcome to reach out and join the interest list.
